by the end of each calendar year. You can complete the hours in the classroom or online.

Are the courses approved for credit?
Yes, all of our courses are approved for credit.

The cost of each course is located in the course catalog. You may pay using all major credit cards
(Visa, MasterCard, and Discover).
Is it secure to send my credit card information over the Internet?
Yes. We use a secure site since credit card transactions are very sensitive in nature.
How do I get a username and password? What do I use it for? What should I do if I forget it?
During the registration process, you select your own username and password. It should be something that you
can easily remember. You will use the same username and password each time you log in to access your
course(s). This information is entered in the returning students section on the home page of the website.
If you forget your username and password, you can either e-mail
a Student Services Associate or call 1-888-HONDROS.
Can I take the course from various locations and computers?
Our courses are set up for students to access their courses from any computer that is compatible. See System Requirements.
How does a course work?
You take the course at your own pace and on your own time. You can take the course in small increments
or all at once. If you exit out of the course, then log back in at a later time, you start back on the
last page that you had been taking.
There is a verification check for all students, which are mandated by the DFI. Students are required to confirm their identity every 50 minutes throughout the course. On a 50-minute interval, you will be prompted to respond to a security question (this is also known as a verification check).
Security questions are based upon the information that you provided when you purchased the course (For Example, your email address). You will be given 3 tries to correctly answer each security question. If you answer correctly, you will be able to move on with the course.
What is Idle Time?
The Ohio Division of Financial Institutions also requires active participation in continuing education courses. This means that students must be actively involved and interacting throughout the entire course. If, at any time, you have not interacted with the course in the last 50 minutes (this is called Idle Time), the course will shut down. When you reopen the course, you will return to the beginning of the last 50 minutes of content. If you are shut out of the course, due to Idle Time, you can return to the course by simply restarting from the My Courses Menu.
How long will it take me to complete a course?
Each course has been approved for a specific number of hours. Depending on the pace you review the course,
it may take you less or more time to complete the course.
Can I use the course for review when I'm done?
You have access to your course for 180 days from the date of purchase. You may review the content during that time frame by selecting your completed course and using the Table of Contents tab to review. The date of completion will not be changed once received.
Can I print any of the course material for future reference?
