Course Completion Questions

What is required to complete the course?

You need to review all of the course content and pass a proctored final exam with a score of 70%.

What is a proctor and how do I find one?

A proctor is a disinterested 3rd party that is not related to you by blood, marriage, or any other relationship, which would negatively influence them from properly administering tests. In addition, the proctor can NOT be an Illinois Real Estate licensee.

Where and how do I take the final exam?

You can take your test from any place where you can use the Internet. One possibility is to contact your local library regarding taking the test.
Prior to taking your exam, you will need to contact Hondros College to request access. You will need to do this at least one business day prior to taking the exam.

What if I fail the final exam?

If you did NOT score 70% or more on the exam, you can retake the test. If you do not pass after the second attempt, you will need to purchase the course again and review the course material before taking the final exam.

Once I pass the final exam, how do I receive my course completion certificate?

Once you successfully complete the exam, you will then need to:

  1. Print off the Completion Certificate. You will need to keep this form for your records.
  2. Complete and submit Proctor Form. Have the proctor complete the Proctor Form and either mail or fax back to Hondros. You will only receive completion credit for the course, once we receive the Proctor Form.

What if I can not print the proctor form or completion certificate?

Contact us and we can either fax or mail them to you.

How do my hours get submitted for CE credit?

online@hondros.edu
We submit your hours to the Illinois Office of Banks and Real Estate for you. You can keep your course completion certificates for your records.
