Course Description
This course is designed to help real estate licensees become knowledgeable
about the history of real estate-related civil rights and fair housing
laws as well as more aware of their duties and responsibilities to treat
everyone equally under the law. The Ohio Revised Code, Section 4735.10
(A) (2) (b) and (c); § 4735.141 and the Ohio Administrative Code,
Section 1301:5-7-02, set forth requirements for providing and attending
triennial continuing real estate education classes including "Three
hours in a course devoted exclusively to instruction in recently enacted
municipal, state and federal civil rights laws; civil rights case law;
desegregation issues; and methods for eliminating the effects of prior
discrimination." Section 4112 of the Ohio Revised Code sets forth
unlawful discriminatory practices regarding real estate and employment
matters.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course the licensee should be knowledgeable
with regard to professional behavioral standards concerning the fair
and equal treatment of clients and customers. The licensee should also be informed
as to the content of various provisions of the Ohio Revised Code dealing
with illegal and unethical activities which could result in non-complying
licensees being the subject of disciplinary sanctions, expensive civil
or severe criminal penalties.

Seat Time
This course has been approved for 3 hours of Continuing Education
credit.
Testing
Quizzes - There is a quiz at the end of each lesson to test comprehension
of the subject matter. Mastery is not required before proceeding
to the next lesson.
Final Exam - You will not be required to take the final exam.
Course Completion
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to
print your certificate. You are required to submit your certificate
to the Division of Real Estate in order to receive Continuing Education credit.
