Course Description
This course is designed to help real estate licensees become knowledgeable
regarding recent changes in the law as well as more aware of their duties
and responsibilities under the law. The Ohio Revised Code, together with
the Ohio Administrative Code, set forth requirements for triennial continuing
education including "Three hours in a course on recently enacted
state and federal legislation affecting the real estate industry, which
shall include, but not be limited to, relevant real estate licensing
laws and regulations, court decisions and related reports."
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course the licensee should be knowledgeable with
regard to:
• Federal and state laws and court decisions affecting the real
estate industry in Ohio including, in particular provisions of Substitute
Ohio House Bills 272 and 279.
• Provisions of the Ohio Revised Code, § 4735.10 (A) (2) (b) that
require renewal of licenses every three years beginning in 2004.
• Provisions of the Ohio Administrative Code, §1301:5-6 that concern
agency, agency disclosure and mandatory real estate brokerage policies
involving agency.
• Provisions of the Ohio Administrative Code, § 1301:5-1-02 that
set forth the rules governing advertising and in particular the use
of company and personal Internet websites for advertising real estate.

Seat Time
This course has been approved for 3 hours of Continuing Education
credit.
Testing
Quizzes - There is a quiz at the end of each lesson to test comprehension
of the subject matter. Mastery is not required before proceeding
to the next lesson.
Final Exam - You will not be required to take the final exam.
Course Completion
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to
print your certificate. You are required to submit your certificate
to the Division of Real Estate in order to receive Continuing Education credit.
