Course Description
This Introduction to Commercial Real Estate course is designed to introduce you to the differences
between residential and commercial Real Estate. Specifically, the course will illustrate how the
value of commercial investments is determined; explain what motivates the parties involved with
commercial real estate transactions; demonstrate the risks that can affect real estate
investments; distinguish between each type of commercial investment property and the
consideration investors make with respect to each; distinguish between the different types of
leases and the terms and conditions that apply to each and finally, illustrate how to calculate
the profitability of a lease. The fundamentals of commercial investment real estate are not
difficult to learn and this course will arm with you a working knowledge of the field so you can
provide competent service when dealing with real estate investments.
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, real estate professionals will be able to

- Distinguish between each type of commercial investment property and their respective investment considerations.

to the Division of Real Estate in order to receive Continuing Education credit.
